BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) -- The real estate website Zillow declares Boise the number-five best housing market in the United States for 2016.

And Pat Madsen with Boise Premier Real Estate says it makes sense given the area's quality of life and cost of living.

"We have a lot of buyers out there, and a lot of listings coming on the market," said Madsen, a Boise native. "The only slow thing is we don't have enough inventory. Not enough houses."

Boise ranks fifth on Zillow's list, with Denver number one, Seattle number two, Dallas-Forth worth number three and Richmond , Virginia number four.
